The nomination deadline for the yearly Hardin County Entrepreneur Awards is rapidly drawing nearer.

The due date to nominate an entrepreneur/business is at noon Monday, said Lisa Boone, director of the Kentucky Innovation Network in Elizabethtown.

Award winners will be honored during Global Entrepreneurship Week at the third annual awards banquet, set for Nov. 15 at Boundary Oak Distillery in Radcliff. It is supported by the Central Region Innovation and Commercialization Center, the Small Business Development Center and Taul Solutions.

There are six nomination categories, including the Dr. Robert E. Robbins Entrepreneur of the Year; Young Entrepreneur of the Year (35 or younger); Cultural Impact Entrepreneur of the Year; Start-up of the Year; and Scale-up of the Year.

A new award this year, Boone said, is the Veteran Business of the Year. With the large number of veteran entrepreneurs in the area, Boone said they felt the group needed its own category.
